CHIEF EXECUTIVE - Crawley Community & Voluntary Service

24 hours per week (37fte)

Crawley Community & Voluntary Service (CCVS) is the main third sector provider of support to the voluntary and community sector in Crawley. Its vision is for Crawley to be a thriving community with an active, acknowledged and respected voluntary sector.

CCVS is seeking a new Chief Executive responsible for all elements of strategy, policy and day to day running of CCVS, including ensuring the long term sustainability of the organisation through effective governance, sound finance and delivery of services. You will have a background in the voluntary and community sector and be a passionate advocate of the third sector and the role it plays in society. Combined with this, you will have sound business acumen, finance and fundraising skills, as well as the ability to lead and motivate a team of staff and volunteers. Experience of strategy and business planning, working in partnership across sectors, managing contracts and staff, and negotiating with funders is essential.

DEPUTY CHIEF EXECUTIVE - Crawley Community & Voluntary Service

35 hours per week (37fte)

Crawley Community & Voluntary Service (CCVS) is the main third sector provider of support to the voluntary and community sector in Crawley. Its vision is for Crawley to be a thriving community with an active, acknowledged and respected voluntary sector.

CCVS is seeking a new Deputy Chief Executive to oversee the work of CCVS’ Engagement and Partnership Teams which includes the support and development of the voluntary and community sector in Crawley, the identification of local needs, and the development of partnership working. You will be responsible for CCVS’ existing partnership contracts, Young Crawley and Prescription Plus.
You will have excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, and a background in the voluntary and community sector with experience of project management and development, partnership working across sectors, setting strategy and vision, and managing a staff team.

PREMISES OFFICER - Crawley Community & Voluntary Service

CCVS is seeking a new Premises Officer responsible for the management of The Orchard, ensuring it is operated smoothly and safely in accordance with current Health & Safety best practice. The successful candidate will be the initial point of contact for Orchard tenants, Orchard room hirers and CCVS members with any premises-related enquiries. You will have an understanding of legislation around Health & Safety and GDPR, a knowledge of contract law and the obligation of landlords and tenants, and experience of working in a busy, administrative environment, customer service and staff/volunteer management.

CCVS is seeking a new Resource Administrator to provide administrative support primarily to the Finance & HR Manager and Premises Officer around all aspects of the CCVS finance and HR functions, including cover of the Premises Office as required. You will be highly organised and self-motivated with previous experience of administration, record-keeping and customer service.

YOUNG CRAWLEY PROJECT CO-ORDINATOR - Crawley Community & Voluntary Service

24 hours per week (37fte)
Fixed-term contract until 30th September 2020

Managed by Crawley Community & Voluntary Service (CCVS), Young Crawley is a consortium of voluntary and community sector organisations working with children, young people and families in the town. The consortium holds a contract with West Sussex County Council to deliver the Young Crawley Family Credits Project which supports vulnerable families in the town through a range of local community support and activities.

We are recruiting a Young Crawley Project Co-ordinator to join the CCVS team and co-ordinate the Young Crawley Family Credits Project. You will be responsible for the oversight and development of the project and will be the main point of contact for schools and key workers referring into the project, and the delivering organisations providing support and activities through the project. In addition to co-ordination of the project, you will play a role in the development of related Young Crawley projects.

NCS Team Leaders Summer 2019 - Groundwork South

We are the local delivery partner for NCS (National Citizen Service) in Horsham and Mid-Sussex. NCS is a voluntary programme taking place during school holidays for young people aged 15-17. It will help participants to become engaged with their communities, as well as empowering them to become active, responsible citizens.

We’re looking for motivated and enthusiastic people to lead teams of 15 young people on their NCS journey with Groundwork South this summer. As Team Leaders your role is to support, motivate and engage with young people who have voluntarily signed up to NCS.

It’s a fun, diverse job with good rates of pay and a really rewarding way to spend a month or two of your summer.
