Community Support Co-ordinator - Prescription Plus - Crawley Community Voluntary Service

35 hours per week (37fte)
Fixed-term contract until 30th September 2020

Prescription Plus is a social prescribing project in Crawley which improves the health and wellbeing of local people by supporting them to connect with community support and activities.

We are recruiting for a Community Support Co-ordinator to join the Prescription Plus Team. You will be linked to four GP surgeries in Crawley and responsible for taking referrals, meeting and assessing patients, and supporting them to make positive changes to their lives by linking in with a range of community activities. You will be part of a small team developing and expanding this project in Crawley.

Due to the nature of this role, it is essential that you have a driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

Premises Manager - Crawley Community & Voluntary Service

Crawley Community & Voluntary Service (CCVS) is the main third sector provider of support to the voluntary and community sector in Crawley. Its vision is for Crawley to be a thriving community with an active, acknowledged and respected voluntary sector.
CCVS is seeking a new Premises Manager responsible for the management of The Orchard, ensuring it is operated smoothly and safely in accordance with current Health & Safety best practice. The successful candidate will be the initial point of contact for Orchard tenants, Orchard room hirers and CCVS members with any premises-related enquiries. You will have an understanding of legislation around Health & Safety and GDPR, a knowledge of contract law and the obligation of landlords and tenants, and experience of working in a busy, administrative environment, customer service and staff/volunteer management.

Grants Coordinator - Jigsaw (Southeast)

We are seeking a self-motivated and enthusiastic team member with experience of raising money from grants, ideally within the charitable sector. You will be a persuasive writer, well organised and enjoy working within a small and supportive team. This is a great opportunity for someone wishing to use or develop their grant application skills, or their charity experience whilst working on a part-time basis. This role is for the equivalent of one day a week on a day/days to be agreed, with some flexibility. It is a new role which will support the charity in increasing income from grants (mainly Trusts and Foundations) over the next three years.

Bank Support Worker - Age UK West Sussex

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to assist people who have dementia and provide support to their carers for our Daybreak Services held at Mid Sussex and Crawley. You will be required to provide assistance with activities and lunch during the day plus provide support to their carers.
Experience of people who have dementia, whether personal or in a work environment, and a caring and compassionate disposition are essential for this role. This position requires great flexibility as the hours will not be the same every week and you will be required to cover staff holiday, sickness and other absence at either centre, some of which may be at short notice.
