Communications and Membership Administrator, Crawley Community & Voluntary Service

Reporting to, and working with, the Chief Executive, you’ll be part of the new Resources Team, delivering vital services for our Outreach and Project teams.

You’re an effective communicator who can manage our new website (arriving February 2020). You’ll write copy for articles, upload community information and maintain our online profile. You’ll ensure that blogposts and vlogs are current and that partners and supporters are kept informed.

You’ll manage our membership scheme, using VC_Connect, our CRM software (full training will be provided, obviously). You’ll be organising member events, supporting Forum Chairs, and writing copy to promote partners, events and opportunities.

The Resources Team works to Service Level Agreements within CCVS, which you will be a part of developing and monitoring.

Trustee - Citizens Advice West Sussex

The Role

  • To interview clients utilising all communication channels, face-to-face, telephone, email & web chat, providing accurate welfare support, advice and information.
  • To manage own caseload effectively.
  • To liaise with statutory and voluntary organisations such as Department of Work and Pensions, Social Services, and community organisations as appropriate.
  • To work within a small, dedicated and committed team

The Candidate

  • Recent and relevant experience of providing welfare benefits advice
  • Experience of effective caseload management
  • Competent in the use of IT systems
  • An understanding of the issues and sensitivities involved when dealing with clients living with cancer and their families and carers
  • Use of a car is essential due to the need to carry out home visits in rural areas and attend outreach locations across Sussex as necessary
  • The successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check

Citizens Advice experience is not a requirement for this post although an understanding of the service is desirable.

IT Trainer - We Are Digital

We Are Digital are empowering people to enrich lives and communities. We are a social impact driven company dedicated to equipping people with digital skills to alleviate financial and social isolation, through our nationwide network of delivery partners, underpinned by expertise to seamlessly deliver all elements of a successful change programme, and holistically assess outcomes, allowing continuous learning, systematically improving outcomes.
Looking for self-employed trainers to deliver basic IT training on behalf of We Are Digital on a one-to-one and group basis. Operational hours are Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 17:00. hourly rate will be £15.00 – £25.00 dependent upon mileage (inclusive of travel). We Are Digital cannot guarantee the number of hours offered as this is based on referrals. This means greater flexibility to work around current commitments. Either a basic DBS check or a Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check will be required prior to commencement of any contract; a DBS costs £26.00 – We Are Digital will pay up front then reclaim the cost of the DBS check from your first invoice. The cost of a BPSS check will be covered by We Are Digital.
