Crisis Care Assistant, Age UK Brighton and Hove

Age UK Brighton & Hove delivers a range of services and activities to meet vulnerable people’s needs. Our aim is to promote the well-being of all older people and make later life a fulfilling and enjoyable experience and enable people to flourish. We are looking for people to join our Crisis team supporting people when they need it most. The service provides short term care (up to 14 days) following hospital discharge, onset of a sudden illness or when informal care breaks down. This is a CQC registered service. We have an excellent team of carers who will make you welcome and be supportive. You will find working as a carer for Age UK a positive and fulfilling experience.

Variable hours per week as Bank relief, Travel and admin time paid. Based in Brighton & Hove.

Age UK Crisis Service delivers care within client’s home providing short term personalised care to people in later life returning home from hospital or in a Crisis. The service operates throughout the year and full support and training will be provided. Care assistants deliver low level personal care as required and carry out basic risk assessments. Care assistants have a flexible approach, are able to use their initiative when working alone and communicate well within the team

Bank Support Worker, Age UK West Sussex

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to assist people who have dementia and provide support to their carers for our Daybreak Service. You will be assisting with various activities and help to serve lunch during the day plus provide support to their carers.

Experience of people who have dementia, whether personal or in a work environment, and a caring and compassionate disposition are essential for this role. This position requires great flexibility as the hours will not be the same every week and you will be required to cover staff holiday, sickness and other absence in the Crawley area, some of which may be at short notice.

Community Link Worker, Age UK West Sussex

Community Link Worker Coordinator, 35 hours. Monday to Friday Salary, East Grinstead.

We are delighted to be working in partnership with the Primary Care Networks communities (PCN) throughout Horsham & Mid Sussex (formally Communities of Practice) and are looking to recruit a Community Link Worker (CLW) for the East Grinstead area.

The Community Link worker will work alongside the East Grinstead PCN, a multidisciplinary team. They will support patients to navigate their way around Health, Social Care and Voluntary Sector Services to access community based solutions to help manage their conditions and improve their quality of life. The role may include working with volunteers to provide patients with the information to identify solutions to their circumstances and bring about the changes necessary to improve their health, wellbeing. They will support the Senior CLW in the running of peer support groups.

Prescription Plus Engagement Officer

Managed by Crawley Community & Voluntary Service (CCVS), Prescription Plus is a social prescribing project in Crawley which improves the health and wellbeing of local people by supporting them to connect with community support and activities.

We are recruiting a Prescription Plus Engagement Officer to join the Prescription Plus Team to cover the position while the current job holder will be on maternity leave. You will be responsible for recruiting and supporting a small team of volunteers, engaging with patients from local GP surgeries and providing administration support to the Community Support Co-ordinators. You will be part of a small team maintaining this project in Crawley.

The nail cutting service supports older people across Brighton & Hove and we are hoping to expand this to West Sussex in 2020. We operate a clinic where clients come to us for basic foot care as well as providing home visits for those clients that are housebound.

An exciting new role has been created for an enthusiastic administrative coordinator to help out with our nail cutting team based in Brighton. We are looking for someone who can help with the booking of appointments, welcoming clients, taking payments and managing our nail cutter’s electronic diaries. You will need to have excellent communication and organisational skills and assist the manager in the promotion of the service.

Community Development Adviser working with Horsham District Council

Working collaboratively with Voluntary Sector Support at Horsham District Council, we are looking for a Community Development Adviser who will work to support and strengthen delivery of the service and local voluntary and community organisations across the Horsham District.

Employed by Crawley Community and Voluntary Service and hosted at Horsham District Council, the Community Development Adviser will sit within the Community Development team. The Community Development advisor role includes an emphasis on strengthening administration across the Voluntary Sector Support service, collaborative working with the voluntary sector, community outreach, marketing and promotion.

To succeed in this varied role as Community Development Adviser working on Voluntary Sector Support, you will have a track record of working in the community to achieve results, a keen interest in developing community assets and relationships, and be willing and able to work flexibly. You will be a good communicator and listener, methodical and organised in your approach to your work. You will have excellent organisational and problem solving skills and will be someone who is keen to make a difference.

Looking for self-employed trainers to deliver basic IT training on behalf of We Are Digital on a one-to-one and group basis. Operational hours are Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 17:00. hourly rate will be £15.00 – £25.00 dependent upon mileage (inclusive of travel). We Are Digital cannot guarantee the number of hours offered as this is based on referrals. This means greater flexibility to work around current commitments. Either a basic DBS check or a Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check will be required prior to commencement of any contract; a DBS costs £26.00 – We Are Digital will pay up front then reclaim the cost of the DBS check from your first invoice. The cost of a BPSS check will be covered by We Are Digital.
