Community Mentor scheme in Crawley

Community Mentor scheme in Crawley

The Challenge

When A Band of Brothers were invited by the Probation service to set up a community of mentors in Crawley, the CVS was the first place they thought to contact. They’d had very positive experiences of working with an equivalent organisation in Brighton and hoped for the same in Crawley.

The Solution

Nathan Roberts, Chief Exec of abandofbrothers commented “This was certainly our experience! They were able to promote our volunteering opportunity, make links in the local area and also offer very reasonable rates for the hire of a really excellent venue.

We’ve used the room on a number of occasions and are always impressed by the cleanliness of space and the facilities for tea making available outside the room. Also of great use is the diagram of where everything needs to put back to which is laminated on the wall! The AV equipment is of a far higher standard than we were expecting and overall we have had a hugely positive experience of using the CVS and can highly recommend them.”

“Good update of new policies / procedure to be included in safeguarding policy.”
