Charities can bank on Barclays for Support

Charities can bank on Barclays for Support

The Challenge

Staff at Barclays bank have recently redecorated two rooms at Sussex Oakleaf’s Steps Wellbeing project in two days and also freshened up the hall stairs and landing for good measure.

As well as this transformation, they recently opened up their banking hall to community and voluntary organisations to promote their services, raise awareness, recruit volunteers or trustees and fundraise.

The Solution

Barclays was presented with a Crawley CVS Corporate Supporters award. Vivienne Gray, Crawley CVS trustee said “We are so pleased to be able to make this awards on behalf of Crawley’s voluntary sector and show our appreciation of our corporate supporters. Barclays is an international company but they work hard to support their local community.” Although he wasn’t able to attend the event, Mark Savage Service Manager from Sussex Oakleaf said “We are thrilled with the work and are grateful to Barclays for doing this. Our clients will notice a difference and the building feels fresher and more welcoming – our service in Crawley provides support for people experiencing mental health problems.”

“Very inspiring presentation - thank you”
