A better future for Gatwick Detainees Welfare Group

A better future for Gatwick Detainees Welfare Group

The Challenge

A local group were preparing a bid application for the Big Lottery and noted that whilst the Big Lottery offers good advice and supporting information there are many areas where expert advice is essential when preparing a bid application.

The Solution

“In October 2011 Gatwick Detainees Welfare Group obtained a grant of £391,000 from the Big Lottery Fund. The staff and trustee responsible for fund raising worked closely with CCVS in preparing the bid. We would like to acknowledge and thank CCVS for their invaluable advice over many months which helped the group to achieve an award which will cover roughly half our running costs for the next four years.”

Felicity Dick, Gatwick Detainees Welfare Group

“We have an excellent relationship and communication with our local CCVS office, which helps us with information and publicity, and recruitment. This is exactly what we need from CCVS”
