Dads United
Autumn programme kicks off...
A full programme of Dads United events is set to take place this autumn, ranging from Hedgerow Harvest at Buchan Park and a Cartoon Club at Southgate Children's Centre to trampolining, bouncy castles and gymnastics. Dads United is a Dads group for all male carers and children under eight years old. The Childcare Committee Support Pack
From Action in Rural Sussex...
Crawley Council for Voluntary Service (CCVS) now has a copy of The Childcare Committee Support Pack, which is intended to be helpful support for those who have volunteered to manage and sustain their local childcare group. The pack collates and summarises information and guidance from many sources and aims to be a straightforward source of information for childcare committee members. There are six sections:

- Getting it right legally
- Regulation & Regulatory Bodies
- Running the Business
- Employing Staff
- Assuring Quality

Children's books in Crawley Library
Available in many languages...
Crawley Library has children's books in almost all the Asian languages including Gujarati, Tamil, Bengali, Urdu and Punjabi as well as in Nepalese, Swahili, Arabic, Farsi, Polish, Russian, Lithuanian, Chinese, Japanese, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese and Italian. Broadfield Children & Family Centre, run by the children's charity Spurgeons, is looking forward to meeting more members of the Broadfield community. Its many groups are now mostly free to those living in Broadfield including its much acclaimed sensory room.
