Crawley Open House
Harvest appeal...
Crawley Open House has written to 129 schools and 135 churches over a very wide area asking for them to donate a portion of their Harvest offerings. Last year 127 responded and those donations kept the organisation in non perishable food until the middle of the summer. However because of the financial climate, Open House is expecting to have to help a lot more people in the coming year which means that it will need even more food to provide meals, free meals and food parcels for everybody. It provided about 53,600 free of charge meals and food parcels to its clients in the last twelve months. Please mention the charity to your local school or church just in case they have not had a letter.
If you would like one of us to visit your office, school, church, club or any other organisation to give a talk about the work of Open House or more generally about homelessness please give Peter or Charlie a call on telephone: 01293 447703/05 to book it. In addition, Open House continually needs good quality men, women, young people and children’s clothing, toiletries, sanitary items, stationery and food (especially UHT milk, sugar and coffee).
